Spanish driver Mari Boya returns to Campos Racing for the 2025 FIA Formula 3 season. This marks his third year in the category.

Boya placed 15th in the 2024 season, grabbing his maiden win on home soil by winning the Barcelona sprint race. With a total of 9 points finishes in the year, Boya described his year as "hard at times" via Instagram.

Looking back at his career, Boya was a multiple time winner Spanish Karting Championship in the cadet and junior classes. He won the IAME X-30 Winter Cup in the junior category in 2018. He also finished a respectable 4th in the senior class of the Spanish Karting Championship marking his end to full time karting in 2019.

The Spaniard then graduated to the Spanish F4 Championship with MP Motorsport in 2020. With 3 wins and 14 podiums, Boya ended his year on a high finishing runner-up in the championship.

He then progressed to the Formula Regional European Championship with Van Amersfoort Racing, but he was unable to repeat his success in 2021 and finished a lowly 14th in the championship with one podium. FRECA is known to be a tough challenge for drivers in their rookie season, so it was expected of him to perform better in 2022, now with ART Grand Prix. His year started off well scoring regular points and standing on the podium. But at Red Bull Ring, Boya announced his switch to MP motorsport for the remaining 8 races of the season, with the objective of racing with the team in F3. He finished the 2022 season 10th in the standings.

In 2023, his rookie season in Formula 3 didn't bear much success, finishing 17th in the championship with one podium after a good performance in the last round at Monza. He also competed in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship finishing 5th.

Boya, who is managed by Road To Success, expects better fortunes for his third year of F3 in 2025 with the introduction of the new car. "I am excited to face my second season with Campos Racing,” the Spaniard said. “After a first year of learning and adaptation, I feel more than ready and eager to contribute to the fullest. We have worked hard as a group and I am confident that together we will achieve our goals by always giving our best in every opportunity that comes our way."

Team Principal Adrián Campos Jr added: “We are thrilled to have a driver like Mari in our team for another season. Next year will be a tough challenge for everyone, considering the introduction of the new F3 car. Therefore, it will be crucial to have talented and experienced drivers who can help understand and develop the car to achieve results as quickly as possible. We are confident it will be a great season together and we will work towards many more victories with the new racing car.” The F3 post- season test will be conducted at Jerez on October 8-9 and Barcelona on October 15-16.  Follow The Race World on X for more updates!
